A comprehensive study of German efforts to bomb Britain and replace zeppelins with mult-engined aircraft.  London was targeted and the defenses were hard pressed to to shoot them down with anti-aircraft fire or intercept them with day and later night fighters.  The british press compained that the RFC weren't doing enough and English towns and cities were at the mercy of the bombers.  Meanwhile the german crews compained that the british defenses were very difficult to penetrate and losses mounted.  An interesting perspective from both sides.  Photos and maps.  Hardbound, no d/j.  Ex. lib. copy with stamps and remains of tape that once held the d/j.  Very good copy.
