THE story of SEARCH FOR THE REMAINS OF AMELIA EARHART ON SAIPAN.  A JOURNALIST BY PROFESSION, THE AUTHOR FOLLOWED LEADS AND EYEWITNESS ACCOUNTS TO DETERMINE IF EARHART WAS ON SAIPAN FOLLOWING HER 1937 DISAPPEARANCE.  SHE WAS RUMOURED TO HAVE BEEN CAPTURED BY THE JAPANESE AND ULTIMATELY DIED ON SAIPAN.  24 PHOTOS.
